Mars Maps

There are numerous published maps of Mars and locations on the martian surface. In addition, there are several Mars globes that have been sold over the years. [In the hardcopy of this guide, there are] 32 pages [which] include a listing of all Mars maps published up until March 1992. Purchasing Maps

Maps of Mars produced by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) make up the bulk of [all Mars maps].

Purchasing Globes

Currently [August 1993], the only place where a Mars globe can be purchased (unless you happen to see one at a garage sale) is from the Sky Publishing Corp. which publishes Sky and Telescope magazine. You should check with them on the cost, but they typically run [in 1993] the neighborhood of $80.00 [U.S.A.]. This globe is the only one thus far published based upon the results of the Viking missions. Sky publishing Corp. has a catalog you can obtain by writing to:
