The Mars Observer Spacecraft Paper Model Kit

The Mars Observer Paper Model Kit was published by NASA in August 1993.

The plans and patterns available in this booklet are designed for students in Grades 5 - 12 to construct a model of Mars Observer. This activity allows the student to see how a planetary spacecraft goes together. While Mars Observer was lost on August 21, 1993, this kit is instructive in demonstrating the details necessary in building a spacecraft in a way that allows all of the instruments to obtain power and function independently without interference from each other.

The Mars Observer Paper Model Kit cannot be reprinted in MOSAIC, thus you will have to obtain a copy by writing to us or to NASA Education Division on school letterhead.
