Slide #19: Mars Observer Solar Panels.


Mars Observer, like most spacecraft flown between the sun 
and asteriod belt, uses solar panels to generate electricity.  The 
electricity powers the computers and science instruments.  Notice 
the size of the people compared with the solar array.
