Who is this ``Joe the Martian'' Guy?

Joe the Martian is a character created by TES News editor Ken Edgett when he was in 4th Grade. His class had to write short stories using their weekly spelling words. He attended Kirk Road Elementary School in Greece, New York.

Dr. Edgett enjoyed writing about Joe the Martian and his adventures around the Solar System so much that he eventually went to college and became a geologist who studies the planet Mars.
