Arizona State University Planetary Exploration Laboratory

Our research is focused on understanding the geology of a wide variety of planetary environments via integrated field, laboratory, and remote sensing investigations. The Planetary Exploration Laboratory is part of the Department of Geology at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. This research group, led by Professor Philip Christensen, is based primarily in the Moeur Building on the ASU Main Campus. Tours of our facility (and other campus sites of interest) can be arranged through the ASU Tour Office at (480) 965-2266. There are also several other faculty in the Department of Geology who engage in planetary research.
