about a special meeting on April 18th run by himself and Rasheeda.

3. The official
once a year meeting will be in Brooklyn, NYC. So some people
talked about what will go on, and what they'll do when they're there.

8th - Sixth
Meeting. The Agenda:
1. Introductions
2. Movie
Showing: The Flute Player by Arn Chorn-Pond. It's about
revitalizing the traditional music of Cambodia. The narrator goes
back to his country of birth, to come to grips with "Pol Pot Time," find
old people once famous for their musical talents and have them teach the
younger generations.
3. As a
side note, there is finally going to be a UN tribunal for Cambodia and
the genocide that occurred there.
4. Women of
Juarez meeting Thursday at 7pm in the MU.
5. Patriot Act
tabling this Tuesday from 10-2.

4th - First
Meeting of the Semester. The Agenda:
We saw a
documentary about the women of Juarez, Mexico. There have been
more than 300 murders there in the last decade, and AI at ASU is
bringing awareness to this. We'll also holding a Virgil at the
Mexican Consulate in Phoenix this coming Saturday.
We talked about
who will be talking MTW from 10-2 during the National Week of Student
Action
There's a
statewide meeting in Tucson Sat. 10-2.
Petitions to end
racial profiling. Everyone was to get 5 signatures. |
